Rotimi, born November 30, 1988 in Maplewood, New Jersey, USA, is a singer-songwriter, actor, and model. He stars as Darius Robinson in the second season. He initially appeared as a recurring guest star in the first season. Boss was his first screen acting role. He has also appeared in the CBS pilot Copper and Stone (2011). Rotimi is also the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of FrontRoSeat Productions.

Early life[]

Rotimi was born on November 30, 1988, in Maplewood, New Jersey to Nigerian parents. He was raised in New Jersey. Rotimi attended Columbia Senior High School before studying at Northwestern University,[1] graduating with Communications a minor in Business in 2010.

Career[]

A contemporary R&B artist, Rotimi released two stellar digital mixtapes The Resume on March 8th, 2011 and While You Wait on November 30, 2011 to incredible downloads and accolades. His videos have been featured on international and U.S. based entertainment media including MTV,VH1 Soul and MTV Africa.

Rotimi has opened for Jennifer Hudson, T.I., Estelle and NERD – as well as, performed on BET’s hit show 106 and Park. After the broadcast of his 106 and Park appearance he became a Twitter Worldwide Trending Topic on May 25, 2011.

Rotimi garnered music placement with “I’m the One” in the first episode of the STARZ Network Television show Boss on October 21, 2011. Also “Roller Coaster”, ”Boss” and “Bottles” music placement on the show We The Party (Directed by Boss regular director Mario Van Peebles). He has worked with Boss co-star T.I. as a model and spokesperson for his clothing line AKOO Clothing.
